Samuel is a partner and a leading expert in the Banking and Capital Markets sector. Samuel is an alumnus of the University of Ibadan and University of Glasgow, United Kingdom where he obtained a Master of Laws degree with Distinction in International Commercial Law.  Samuel has over a decade of commercial law experience and leads the Firm’s Capital Markets Practice team.

Since joining the firm in 2004, Samuel has worked in all practice areas of the Firm and currently advises on corporate finance, company re-organisation and corporate restructuring, private equity investments and corporate acquisitions amongst other complex multidisciplinary corporate advisory services. His experience includes oil and gas assets acquisition and financing, analysis of legal and regulatory issues, intellectual property and dispute resolution.

Samuel also worked briefly with the foremost trust company in Nigeria where he was responsible for establishing monitoring and compliance framework for mutual funds managers, municipal bonds issuers, setting up contractual and monitoring framework for sub-national sovereign wealth funds, reviewing and negotiating syndicated lending security agreements, reviewing and negotiating capital market offer documents, amongst other responsibilities.
